Hearing loss affects more than just the individual; it affects family, and society. Most of us discuss the emotional, physical, and psychological aspects to hearing loss, but not many discuss the financial implications of hearing loss. While studies show that an individual with untreated hearing loss has reduced earning potential to their normal hearing peers, this study discusses the cost to society in both the UK and USA.
