Hearing is perhaps the most precious of all our five senses. It is the way we communicate with each other. It is the way we share in each other’s lives. We stay connected to the world around us through our sense of hearing. But what if you’ve never been able to experience the world though sound? Here are two remarkable videos of a young women’s first experience of sound after receiving a cochlear implant at the age of 29. She shares her experience and talks about what it means to her life and to her family.
