I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to travel to a small town in the Dominican Republic. In November, I travelled to Yamasa with the charity Friends for Life International. Over the course of the week we provided hearing devices,tested hearing and repaired broken hearing aids. Our days began very early and the patients came even earlier sitting and waiting for sometimes hours for the opportunity to receive hearing aids and improve their ability to communicate with their friends and loved ones. Their enthusiasm and gratitude was our privilege to experience.
