Seniors 65+
Affordable Hearing Aids for Seniors Act
Residents aged 65 or older with a permanent hearing loss and lower household income may have 75% of hearing aid costs covered, up to $500 per device, once every five years. See the Act.
- Income thresholds: $21,000 or less (household) or $18,000 or less (single person).
- The Dalhousie Hearing Aid Assistance Program (DHAAP) provides donated hearing aids to seniors without other financial support.
