I have been an audiologist for 15 years now. I have had the privilege of interacting with many wonderful people over the years. I often learn more from my patients than they learn from me. Helping people to hear better is about more than fitting them with a hearing device. It is about helping individuals to improve their relationships, social interactions and ultimately their quality of life. The other day a patient called back down the hall to me after her appointment was over and said, “Patricia, the next time you are having a bad day I want you to stop and think about how big a difference you have made in my life.”
