17 Feb From Our Hearts
It is very tough to choose a single moment that defines why I love my profession, as our days are filled with many small, but special moments. However, a particular patient comes to mind that defines my goals as an audiologist. My experience with her has been too rewarding to express in a single blog post, but to sum it up, she said the following words that have always stuck with me:
“There may not be a cure for my hearing loss, but you care for my hearing loss. You have made it your mission to make sure that my life has been drastically altered by you. When you leave your office to go to your home, I don’t think you realize how many homes you have affected that day. And that’s powerful”.
