29 Oct Continuous Learning as an Audiologist
Jessica, audiologist in our Lower Sackville clinic, recently attended the Canadian Academy of Audiology 2012 conference in Ottawa to learn about the latest developments in hearing healthcare. Topics of the sessions she attended included: the use of the internet for providing useful information to patients, how to set hearing aids for different languages, the early detection of noise-induced hearing loss, how the mind relates to hearing loss, and finally, the neuroscience of tinnitus. Jessica also had the opportunity to meet with many hearing aid manufacturers to learn about their newest technology in hearing aids.
At Hearing Institute Atlantic, we strive to continually learn about the latest developments in hearing health care to best serve our patients.
